The nurse called with Annive's lab results today and said they are "essentially normal." I asked what that meant because to me, essentially normal means something was not normal. She explained that usually it means a level came back abnormal but not alarmingly abnormal so the doctor considers it normal. So, we're thankful for these results and glad that a lot of things have been ruled out.
Annive is scheduled for a urine catheter test and office visit on Tuesday morning. We have to keep a food diary from today through Tuesday to bring to the appointment. At her appointment I'm finding out exactly what essentially normal means, and we'll discuss the next steps to determine the cause of her weight problem.
Now we're back to waiting again and praying that all results will be completely normal.
