Decorating

Scott, Annive, Bailey, and I decorated the house for Christmas yesterday. Bailey ate leaves from the fall decorations we took down, tissue paper that we had used to wrap Christmas ornaments, pine needles from the tree, and berries from the garland. He also took anything he could and stockpiled it under the dining room table, his hiding spot when he's being naughty. Bailey at his finest. Annive tried to put ornaments in her mouth and grabbed them once they were on the tree. Her favorite ornaments are the sparkly ones. Her philosophy is the more sparkly, the better. Scott put ornaments on the lamp by the nativity scene so now it looks like it has earrings and used the "JOY" stocking hangers to spell "YO" on the top of the bookcase. I spent the day chasing Bailey, decorating while holding Annive, and trying to remember where we put things last year but couldn't thanks to chemo brain. I'll probably forget again next year too. Oh but the look on Annive's face when we turned the Christmas tree lights on after we finished decorating. Priceless. She grinned from ear to ear and sat by the tree looking at all the lights. Or maybe it was the disco ball ornament on the tree.

  1. I don't know who keeps you busier--Bailey or Annive.
